* 그룹의 멤버 Trevor Horn에 따르면, 이 곡의 가사는 J.G. Ballard의 단편 The Sound-Sweep에 영감을 받아 작사하였다고 합니다. 1960년대는 라디오시대에서 TV시대로 점차 변해가던 시절이었는데, 이 곡의 가사는 지나가는 시절을 기억하고, 과거의 고마움을 잊어가는 현세대에 대한 안타까움을 표현하고 있습니다.

1981년 8월 1일 MTV 채널이 처음 열렸을 때 MTV에서 가장 처음 방영된 뮤직비디오였고, 2000년 2월 27일에는 MTV에서 방송을 탄 100만번째 뮤직비디오가 되었다고 합니다.
